Bateson signs Silkmen deal

Macclesfield Town have made Jonathan Bateson their first signing of the summer ahead of next season.
The right-back, 20, was with League Two rivals Accrington last season but had a spell on loan at Altrincham. Bateson began his career at Blackburn and has also played for Bradford, where he featured in both league matches against the Silkmen during the 2009/10 season.
