Aldershot seal double capture

Aldershot have completed a double midfield signing by snapping up Anthony Pulis and Graeme Montgomery.

Pulis, 27, and 23-year-old Montgomery have agreed one-year contracts at the Recreation Ground. Former Wales Under-21s international Pulis was released by Southampton at the end of last season, having ended the campaign on loan at Barnet. Montgomery, who played for Shots boss Dean Holdsworth at Newport, has just been released by Dagenham. Holdsworth said: "I am delighted both players have agreed to join. They give more added strength in depth. Monty has a great left foot on him and we can develop him as a player. "Anthony gives us cover in two or three positions. He hasn't played enough football over the last four or five years through injury, which is no fault of his own, but I am really pleased with both of these signings."
