I was at fault, says Bartlett

Hereford goalkeeper Adam Bartlett refused to lay all the blame on the unfortunate bounce which led to a Rotherham goal.

Bartlett, who returned to the Bulls squad last month after 11 weeks out nursing a thigh injury, was reinstated into Jamie Pitman's XI for the first time ahead of on-loan David Cornell but was unable to prevent a 3-2 defeat to the Millers on Saturday. The visitors' second was one to forget as Alex Revell fired goalwards from 20 yards and the ball took a slightly higher bounce than usual just in front of Bartlett to skid over the outstretched arm of the stopper. "It took quite a high bounce but I can't use that as too much of an excuse," he told Hereford's official website. "I'm disappointed obviously, but when your luck is out then little things like that go against you. "The ball didn't even touch my hands but at the end of the day I'll brush myself down and train hard and try and play the game at Plymouth."
