Danny Jackman has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract with Gillingham.
The club's player of the year was out of contract at the end of this month but has now agreed to remain at Priestfield next season, despite the club currently remaining managerless having parted ways with Andy Hessenthaler. Midfielder Jackman has already spent five seasons with the Gills across two spells, first joining in 2005 for two years before linking up with Northampton for a similar period and returning to the Kent outfit in 2009. Despite struggling with injury during the initial two years of his second stint with Gillingham, the 29-year-old made 44 appearances last term, netting five goals.
