Northampton striker Jake Robinson has agreed to join Blue Square Bet Premier side Luton on a one-month loan.

The 25-year-old, who arrived from Shrewsbury in the summer of 2011, has made 35 appearances for the Cobblers, scoring once. That goal came in midweek when Northampton produced a surprise 1-0 home win over MK Dons of League One in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "This is a good opportunity for Jake. "It will give him the chance to play regular football and he hasn't had that opportunity here. "It is in the best interests of all parties that he plays regularly and we wish him well."
