Wycombe have confirmed the signing of defender Aaron Pierre from Brentford on a three-year-deal.

The 21-year-old former Fulham youth product spent the latter part of last season on loan with the Chairboys and impressed enough during his eight appearances to prompt boss Gareth Ainsworth into making the move a more permanent one. "It's been no secret that I wanted to bring Aaron back to the club and I'm delighted to make him a Wycombe Wanderers player for the next three years" the Chairboys boss told the club's official website. "He was outstanding for us during his short loan spell and I know the fans will be pleased to see him back in the light and dark blue quarters. "He's strong, quick, comfortable with the ball, he's equally comfortable at left back and in the centre, and he has all the attributes to go a long way in the game." Pierre joins fellow new-signing Paul Hayes and Gary Doherty who extended his contract at Adams Park as Ainsworth aims to shape his squad early in time for the 2014/15 League Two season.
