Sheffield United waiting on duo

Sheffield United are still waiting on a decision from Chris Porter and Ben Davies who have both been offered new deals by the club.

The Blades chose not to take up the 12-month option on striker Porter's current deal and instead offered him new terms which the 30-year-old has yet to sign, while defender Davies made 20 appearances after joining on loan from Derby in February. "We have made a new offer to Chris, we are awaiting his response. We will give him time to make a decision," Blades managing director Mal Brannigan told the club's official website. "Ben is someone we would like to sign. He has worked with Nigel before and enjoyed a productive spell here last season. "Like Chris, we have made him an offer and are again waiting for a decision." Brannigan confirmed the Blades are keen to bring Cardiff defender John Brayford and Liverpool midfielder Conor Coady back to the club following their respective loan spells last season. "John and Conor are back with their parent clubs, but obviously if they became available on acceptable terms to Sheffield United, then, of course, we would be interested in them returning. "We haven't approached either club at the moment, but that is something we will look to pick up in the next couple of weeks."
