Bury have completed the signing of former Barnsley midfielder Kelvin Etuhu on a two-year deal .

The 26-year-old joins on a free transfer and arrives at the JD Stadium after his deal at Barnsley, where he spent two seasons made 21 appearances last season, expired. Etuhu came through Manchester City's youth system and Bury manager David Flitcroft sees him as a crucial asset in their bid for promotion next season. A club statement read: "With a wealth of top clubs from the Sky Bet Championship and Sky Bet League One chasing Kelvin's signature, we are delighted that Kelvin has chosen Bury as his new club. "Along with the other high profile signings that have been made over the summer, the club feel that signing a player of Kelvin's magnitude signals the intent and ambition for the future."
