New loan signing Josh McQuoid believes Coventry have what it takes to achieve promotion this season.

The 24-year-old helped Bournemouth reach the Championship at the end of the 2012-13 campaign and is keen to help City follow in their footsteps after joining the club until mid-January. McQuoid, who has also represented Burnley and Millwall and spent the second half of last term at Peterborough, said: "To get out of this league, togetherness is a major factor. You've got to be together as a squad and already I see the squad have that quality and a really good bond. "If you work together and work for each other then success is easier to achieve. Hopefully my experience can help the club achieve success. Whether I'm starting or I come off the bench, I just can't wait to get going for the club. "During pre-season, the manager has been in contact with me and has been eager to get me here. I've decided to come here as it's a big club and the training facilities are first class. The standard is very high here and you can tell the team likes to play football. "I'm here to help the team and do what I can do. Obviously, I'd like to be part of a team which pushes up the table. I'm looking forward to linking up with Marcus Tudgay and Shaun Miller. They're both very good players and experienced at this level. "It is good to have competition in all positions as it will push me to become better. You've got to work harder when you have competition as you want that starting spot."
