Robertson: No need to panic

Chris Robertson is confident Port Vale will not be involved in a relegation dogfight despite having lost their last three games.
Vale claimed an eye-catching 3-1 win at Doncaster in between draws against Walsall and Oldham but a home defeat by Notts County began a worrying sequence of results. Micky Adams' side went on to lose their next two at Vale Park in the league and cup before becoming Peterborough's latest victims at the weekend. That game saw Robertson make his first league appearance of the season and he saw enough from Vale to suggest they are occupying a false position. "To get 90 minutes under your belt is a good thing, the more you play the sharper you're going to feel and you get that understanding with your team-mates as well," the centre-back told the club's official website. "It's a new season which brings a new start, so you move on. We're six games into the season so there's no need to panic. "There have been signs this season that we have a good squad, so judge us at the end of the season, not the first five or six games." The Valiants will aim to get their campaign back on track when they travel to local rivals Crewe on Saturday.
