Swindon skipper Nathan Thompson has had his appeal for a red card against Cheltenham upheld.

Thompson was sent off in the 5-0 defeat to Cheltenham in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday and had his claim of wrongful dismissal upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. The red card, which was the 23-year-old's third of the season, was shown after he brought down Terry Gornell when he was through on goal after 21 minutes but the defender has now had the punishment removed with immediate effect.
