Mike Edwards has extended his contract with Notts County until the end of the current season.
Edwards spent eight seasons with the Magpies prior to a two-year spell at Carlisle, but he returned to Meadow Lane earlier this season on a short-term deal - joining primarily as strength and conditioning coach, but also as a player. The 34-year-old has gone on to make nine appearances during his second spell with the club, scoring twice. He will continue to combine his main role on the coaching side with being a player - should Magpies manager Shaun Derry require his services.
