Tranmere striker George Donnelly has joined Vanarama Conference side Southport on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has made 13 appearances for Rovers since signing from Rochdale last September. Manager Micky Adams told the official club website: "With the arrival of Rory Donnelly, Jennison Myrie-Williams and Iain Hume, George's opportunities are going to be limited so this is a good chance for him to play first-team football." Donnelly could make his Southport debut against Gateshead on Saturday.
