Hartlepool striker Marlon Harewood, defender Stuart Parnaby and midfielder Tommy Miller are among six players released by the club.

Pools boss Ronnie Moore, who steered the club to an unlikely relegation escape to preserve their club's Football League status, has confirmed the trio will be leaving Victoria Park. Winger Jack Compton, goalkeeper Jonny Maxted and defender Darren Holden have also been released. A brief club statement read: "The chairman and everyone at the club would like to thank all of the above players for their services and commitment and wish them all the very best for the future." Pools have exercised their option on seven other players with defenders Michael Duckworth, Dan Jones and Josh Nearney, midfielders Michael Woods, Nicky Featherstone and Josh Nearney, plus striker Scott Fenwick to stay with the club for the 2015/16 season.
