Charlton v Brentford preview

Team news for Saturday afternoon's League One clash between Charlton and Brentford at The Valley.
Charlton manager Chris Powell will be without striker Paul Benson when his side host Brentford. The eight-goal striker will begin a four-match ban after being shown his second red card of the season during Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat against MK Dons for a dangerous tackle on midfielder Stephen Gleeson. Top-scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips is likely to be restored to the starting line-up in Benson's place. On-loan left-back Matt Fry returned to the squad in midweek and is pushing for a starting berth, but centre-back Gary Doherty will remain sidelined with a hamstring problem. Midfielders Joe Anyinsah and Johnnie Jackson will also be missing with ankle and Achilles injuries respectively. Powell himself will serve a one-match touchline ban after being charged with misconduct by the FA following comments he made after last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Tranmere. Brentford boss Nicky Forster will be without Charlie MacDonald for the trip to Charlton. The 10-goal striker returned from a dead leg in time to make the starting line-up against Brighton on Tuesday night, but had to be withdrawn after suffering ankle ligament damage following a challenge from Radostin Kishishev. Robbie Simpson stepped off the bench to replace him and could start against the Addicks, although Lewis Grabban is another option. On-loan Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed is set to continue following his full debut in midweek, but fellow midfielder Sam Wood is not yet ready to return from a broken arm. Winger Myles Weston could return to the starting line-up as the the Bees look to avoid a third consecutive defeat.
