West Ham striker Freddie Sears has extended his loan stay at Colchester until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old's initial spell was due to expire after this weekend's clash with Huddersfield. Sears has so far made four appearances for the U's, who are currently ninth in League One, seven points adrift of the play-off places.
