Colchester have signed defender Jamie Harney on loan from Premier League outfit West Ham.
The 18-year-old Northern Ireland Under-21 international has made the short move until January 12 to boost a rearguard that conceded three goals in Sunday's 6-3 win over Gosport. Tony Humes moved for the youngster following Elliott Hewitt's return to Ipswich.
