Coventry v Barnsley preview

Team news for Coventry's Championship clash with Barnsley at The Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

Barnsley will be without injured defender Jay McEveley. Left-back McEveley has undergone surgery to repair medial knee ligaments he damaged in the midweek defeat at Burnley. Tykes manager Mark Robins has drafted in Matt Hill from Wolves for an initial month and he could go straight into the starting line-up. Robins, who has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side chase their first league win of the season, does have other options, with Luke Potter also hoping to return to the starting line-up. Midfielder Jeronimo Neumann is still nursing a groin strain and remains doubtful, while Robins must decide whether to recall on-loan striker Chris Wood and midfielder Jacob Butterfield to his starting line-up. Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd must decide whether to keep faith with the same XI as the one which narrowly lost out to high-flying Cardiff in midweek. The Sky Blues were unfortunate to go down to Jay Bothroyd's late winner and deserved a share of the spoils just days after triumphing at Ipswich for the first time since 1994. Barnsley arrive in the Midlands having not beaten City on home soil for 87 years and Boothroyd, who has no fresh injury or suspension concerns, will ponder whether to include Marlon King from the off or as an impact substitute. The striker returned from his dead leg to replace Lukas Jutkiewicz with 20 minutes remaining against the Bluebirds. Long-term absentees Freddy Eastwood, James McPake and Chris Hussey have all returned to different degrees of training but are not ready to be considered for this weekend. Danny Ward, David Bell, Gary Deegan and Stephen O'Halloran remain on the sidelines.
