Lawless on the comeback trail

Image: Alex Lawless: Frustrating time on the sidelines

Alex Lawless is chomping at the bit to return after recovering from a broken foot, but accepts patience may be a virtue.

The Luton midfielder suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the season and then spent more than two months on the sidelines after suffering his latest setback in a 1-0 win over Northampton. After playing for 45 minutes in a development squad game on Monday, Lawless told Hatters Player: "There's no doubt about it - this season has been highly frustrating. "But I'm happy to have completed 45 minutes and I enjoyed being back playing again. "The key now is not to get too carried away. In the past that may have been the case. My personality is inclined to make it difficult for me to hold myself back. I've got to be sensible, look at the bigger picture and get things right."
