Luton striker Paul Benson has stepped up his return from injury with a 90-minute run out for the development squad.

The 35-year-old, sidelined since suffering a broken leg on November 29, played the full game as a strong Hatters side defeated Leyton Orient 3-2 in east London on Tuesday afternoon. There were further pluses for Luton as midfielders Luke Rooney, who had a hernia operation last month, and Alex Lawless, on his way back from a broken bone in his foot, also completed the entire match. Luke Wilkinson, Shaun Whalley, Jake Howells and Alex Wall also featured for the Hatters, who fell behind to a Sandro Semedo goal. Wall equalised and Ross Lafayette put Luton ahead but Gianvito Plasmati levelled for the hosts before Howells' penalty secured the win.
