Sheffield Wednesday's new midfield signing David Prutton feels his qualities are ready-made for the club.

Prutton, 29, has signed a two-year deal and became manager Gary Megson's second permanent summer signing following the arrival of defender Rob Jones. Prutton told the club's official website: "This is fantastic and I'm delighted to be here. "It will be nice to implement the good things you've learned. As you get older you try and iron out the things that aren't as productive or helpful. "I'm honest, hard working and a good Yorkshire crowd appreciates hard work, which is a pre-requisite. "You'd like to think you've not gone through your career being the opposite of a wallflower, but being able to say your bit and contribute to the team and aid any kind of success that the team has." Prutton began his career at Nottingham Forest and moved on to Southampton before stints at Leeds, Colchester and Swindon.
