Oldham manager Paul Dickov saluted Robbie Simpson for the hat-trick which helped sink Chesterfield 5-2 on Saturday.

Kieran Lee and Shefki Kuqi were also on target while Chesterfield replied through Craig Westcarr and Leon Clarke, but Simpson was the star of the show. Dickov said: "It was a really good team performance and I'm particularly pleased for Robbie Simpson. "For a while he was playing very well without scoring, but he has deserved to add goals to his game. "The first was a fantastic finish, the second from a free-kick was right in the top corner and the third was sheer desire because he went in where it hurts. "It's very satisfying. I'm not happy that we conceded twice, but some of our football was exceptional."
