Huddersfield have offered professional deals to academy products James Burke, Israel Johnson, Jordan Sinnott and Max Leonard.
The four teenagers are the latest in a long list of homegrown players to progress into the first-team squad in recent years. Second-year academy players Max Crooks and Lloyd Allinson have already signed for the club. Manager Simon Grayson said: "I'd like to congratulate the four second-year scholars that have been offered their first contracts as well as reiterating my congratulations to Matt Crooks and Lloyd Allinson, who have already signed theirs. "But the hard work starts here for those six now! They've all achieved just the first step in the early stages of their careers and now their challenge is to make the next step up to senior football. That's even more difficult, but if they can the rewards are fantastic." Nathan and Tom Clarke, Alex Smithies, Jack Hunt, Liam Ridehalgh and Jimmy Spencer have all made the step up in recent years.
