Crawley interim boss Dean Saunders has signed attacking midfielder Blair Anderson from Basford United on a short-term contract.
Anderson has been on trial with the Red Devils from the Midlands League side this week and has caught the eye of Saunders. The 22-year-old can play on either flank and is thought to have been watched by several Football League clubs. Saunders told the club's official website: "It's a big step up for Blair but I think he's got something about him, he's a good prospect. "It's an opportunity for Blair to have a look at us and for us to assess him but he is someone I think will add to what we've already got." On making the step up to League One, Anderson said: "I'm pleased to be at Crawley. I think I can step up to this level and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to show what I can do in a Crawley Town shirt."
