Hill aims dig at Dale rivals

Rochdale manager Keith Hill believes some of the clubs below his side in the League One table should be embarrassed.
Hill is repeating history at Spotland by mounting a play-off challenge following promotion from League Two - an act he managed in his first spell with the club. Dale's win over Yeovil on Saturday moved them into the top six, though they could be replaced by Bradford if the West Yorkshire club win their game in hand on Tuesday night. Nevertheless, Dale are still above the likes of former club Barnsley, Peterborough, Doncaster and Walsall in the table - a feat Hill believes the unfashionable Lancashire outfit have no right to achieve. "If you look at the teams we are challenging with, wow, I know what it is like financially and it's an embarrassment for those teams to be below us in the league," Hill said. "I know what they're spending and they all tried to make signings on Thursday to cheat the system and we are outstretching them and I take great pride in that." On his side's play-off bid, Hill added: "Our players have got to embrace it, they have to. If we fail we take it on the face, we can't fear failure."
