Liam Ridehalgh is set to extend his loan at Swindon until the end of the season after joining the Robins two months ago.

The Huddersfield full-back joined the Robins at the end of September and has featured 11 times under manager Paolo Di Canio as the Wiltshire outfit have risen to fifth spot in League Two, reached the third round of the FA Cup and the area final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. And now the 20-year-old says he will remain at the County Ground until the summer in a bid to help Swindon achieve promotion. He told the Swindon Advertiser: "I have spoken to the chairman (Jeremy Wray) and he has asked Huddersfield for permission to keep me at Swindon until the end of the season and I believe they have agreed. "I'd love to stay because we have a lot of things to look forward to. "We are in a good position in the league, we have Wigan at home in the FA Cup and also the area final of the JPT, so it is looking good for Swindon."
