Yates unhappy with officials

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates vented his disappointment with the decisions that lead to his side's 3-1 home defeat to Southend.

"I'm not normally one for criticising officials, but neither of goals after half time were free kicks," said Yates. Both of those goals came from Kevan Hurst set pieces, the first a close-range header from Britt Assombalonga after Ryan Cresswell's header was touched onto the post by Scott Brown, and the second thudded home by Mark Phillips from six yards. Yates was also frustrated at his own team's patchy performance. "We were excellent for 44 minutes but we switched off for the first goal and didn't recover. We failed to track runners and in five minutes of the second half the game completely changed. We have to be better and stronger than we were. We never found the fluidity that we had in the first half."
