Moore in Cobblers job frame

Former Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is believed to be among the favourites for the vacant managerial position at Northampton.

Moore has been out of work following his sacking from the Millers in March and has been linked to recent vacancies at Lincoln and Darlington. The Cobblers are searching for a new manager following Monday's parting of company with Gary Johnson and 56-year-old Moore is an early target of the League Two club. Chairman David Cardoza said earlier in the week: "We will take our time as we generally do but if the right person is available then we will take it."
