Turner: Shrews can do better

Manager Graham Turner wants to see an improvement in their use of the ball after Shrewsbury's stalemate with Cheltenham on Boxing Day.

The Shrews have scored just once in their last three league games, and Turner is conscious of the fact they need to improve going forward, as they seek to sustain their promotion push. He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "With the ball, we should have been better. "We had some good opportunities in the first half to pass it and we went too direct at times, or our first touch or selection let us down. "We should have done better, but we were pleased to keep them out."
