AFC Wimbledon striker Jason Prior has been ruled out for at least six months after X-rays confirmed his double leg break.
Prior suffered the injury during the early stages of the 1-1 draw at Crawley on Saturday following a rash challenge by home midfielder Hope Akpan. The 23-year-old has undergone a successful operation and is now at home recuperating. "I have dealt with tibia fractures before with private patients and they have been able to get back to a good standard in their chosen sports. Hopefully, it will be the same with Jason," Dons physio Mike Raynor told the club's official website. "It will be six months minimum for him. He has a nail fixing the fracture site through his tibia bone (shin) and we have to wait for the two bone ends to knit together. The fibula is left to heal properly on its own." Prior has made just three appearances for the Dons since his January switch from non-league Bognor Town.
