Dons still deciding on duo

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley has confirmed talks are ongoing with midfield pair Huw Johnson and Frankie Merrifield.
The duo failed to secure a regular place for the Dons last season, with neither appearing in 2013, meaning their futures are in doubt. However, the pair are still under contract at Kingsmeadow for another 12 months after completing their first season as professionals. Ardley remains undecided on their futures, telling the Hounslow Chronicle: "We've had initial conversations with them and plan another meeting to see what's best for everyone." Johnson featured 11 times with Merrifield playing on six occasions and scoring against Southend in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last October before joining Harrow Borough on loan.
