Hargreaves sets Torquay target

Torquay manager Chris Hargreaves has challenged his players to win their last two games following a 2-1 Devon derby win at Exeter.

The Gulls were 45 minutes from being relegated at the home of their neighbours after Scot Bennett had given the Grecians a 1-0 half-time lead. But Torquay looked a different side after the break and won the game with two goals in quick succession from Courtney Cameron and substitute Ashley Yeoman. The result leaves Torquay five points adrift of safety with two games to go and Hargreaves said: "It is out of our hands, that's for sure. "All we can do now is go and win two games. The previous results are irrelevant now, we can't get them back. It has been a culmination of 18 months or two years of poor decision-making and that has to change eventually doesn't it? "I have found it harder than I probably thought I would because of money and facilities, so I have to work out a way of getting young lads into the team and doing it that way because we can't sign someone on two grand a week like all the other clubs in League Two. "I was really pleased with our reaction to going behind. They could have wilted, but as soon as we got that equaliser you could see it lift the players and the fans suddenly got interested. "I thought we could have got another one before we came under a bit of pressure, but we rode it out and thoroughly deserved it I think. I thought we were the better team."
