Jones rewarded by Hartlepool

Young Hartlepool defender Dan Jones has signed a new contract with the League Two club.
The 20-year-old made his first-team breakthrough in October and went on to become a mainstay in defence following the arrival of Ronnie Moore in December. Jones played through the pain barrier after fracturing wrist in January and had surgery to resolve the problem at the end of the season. He is comfortable at either left-back or centre-back and made 28 appearances for Pools this season.
