Robinson and Diagouraga to stay with Hereford

Watford have snapped up Hereford United striker Lionel Ainsworth on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Ainsworth has scored eight goals for The Bulls since joining the club on a free transfer from Derby County in the summer. He notched the winner in Hereford's surprise FA Cup win over Leeds United on Tuesday and was told he could 'go a long way' by Bulls boss Graham Turner. The youngster has now secured a step up to Championship level after accepting a move to Vicarage Road. The Hornets have also lined up a permanent deal for the New Year, if Ainsworth impresses manager Aidy Boothroyd. As part of the agreement, Theo Robinson and Toumani Diagouraga will stay at Edgar Street until the end of the season, with Hereford having first option to sign the latter permanently.
