Bury are examining the possibility of severing their 122-year association with Gigg Lane by relocating to a new purpose-built stadium.

League Two side Bury are considering ending a 122-year association with Gigg Lane in order to move to a purpose-built stadium.
The cash-strapped club are conducting a feasibility study into the possibility of a ground move.
There will be an examination into whether there is value and viability in terms of any proposed sale and whether sufficient capital would be generated to allow the club to uproot itself.
Director Ian Harrop told the Bury Times: "We having nothing more to say, other than the feasibility study is going on. This information was given at a private meeting of our shareholders. At this stage, there is nothing more to be said and we have nothing to hide. We will get back to them when there is something else to report."
A spokesman for Bury Council said: "A number of officers have been involved with Bury FC offering the normal planning advice available to any potential company to consider the feasibility of a number relocation options which would, if progressed, involve compliance with relevant planning laws.
"These discussions are at a very early stage and there are no firm proposals from the club at this time."
