Brighton were reduced to 10 men when assistant manager Mauricio Taricco was sent-off in extra time of a remarkable match which ended 2-2 before Woking failed to convert any of their three shootout penalties. Matt Sparrow pounced to slot Brighton ahead on 57 minutes but a 72nd-minute own goal from Seagulls skipper Gordon Greer levelled as the tie went to extra-time on Tuesday night. Substitute Ola Sagbanmu sent the Kingfield Stadium wild by heading the Conference South side ahead on 103 minutes but the lead lasted only two minutes when Elliott Bennett crashed in a dramatic equaliser. That set up the shootout, in which non-league Woking completely choked.
