Smith urges Saddlers to shine

Dean Smith wants Walsall to repeat the performance that earned them a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday when they face Rochdale.

Smith's side moved out of the relegation zone and into 18th place in the League One table, and following the last-gasp winner, he is urging his players will continue their good form on New Year's Eve. Smith told the Birmingham Mail: "It was a very good performance. "Now we have to carry it on against Rochdale on Saturday and that's been hammered home to the lads. "Too many times this season we have played really well to get good results against good sides then not followed it up. "Now is the time to deliver. They have to do it again."
