Rovers want quick solution

Bristol Rovers financial director Toni Watola says the club are looking to appoint their new manager "in the next seven to 10 days".
Rovers go into their FA Cup third-round clash with Aston Villa this weekend without a full-time boss after parting company with Paul Buckle on Tuesday following a poor run of results. Watola, who said he has already received several applications for the position, does not want the search for Buckle's replacement to drag on too long. He told BBC Points West: "We want to make an appointment in the seven to 10 days. The sooner we can make one the better so we can get the show back on the road. "We do need someone with experience to come in, but he's also got to be experience in the right way. Rovers fans want to see some entertaining football and want to see passion. We're looking for a manager who can bring that to the club. "I've received a number of applications of a reasonable quality - they're from Championship level and lower."
