Port Vale manager Micky Adams has criticised his players' commitment following their 1-0 home defeat to Dagenham.

Vale are currently 10 points clear of the League Two relegation zone and are virtually sure of survival. However, Adams was disappointed at the manner of their loss to the Daggers, and stressed that he will not allow any of his charges to relax as the campaign approaches its conclusion. "I was disappointed with the attitude and the commitment of the players. I thought it was a poor game overall but I'm disappointed we didn't at least get a point out of it," Adams told the club's website. "We look as though we've switched off - some of us -and I can't get the message through to them that they are playing for something. "They are playing for contracts, whether they are here or at other places, there are always people watching them from the stands and they have got to go out there and play. "I have told them, they look as though they are cruising in, they look as if they are on their holidays already. They did that last season and I am not going to allow that to happen."
