Danny Wilson admitted his Sheffield United side came up against a resilient Doncaster outfit after the sides drew 0-0.

Rovers threatened early on when Martin Woods saw his low angled shot parried by Mark Howard while United's best effort came from loanee Paul Gallagher, whose effort was turned over the bar by Gary Woods. Blades boss Wilson said: "We put them on the back foot for long periods but credit to them, they defended very well. They were very deep and it was very difficult to get round the back of them. "I think it was a typical derby game. It was nip and tuck. Apart from the first minute when we made a mistake and Mark came to our rescue, after that I thought there was nothing in it. "We had a couple of chances in the first half and I think with the amount of pressure we had in the second half we wanted to create something from that, but the ball didn't fall kindly enough for us. "On that performance, you'd expect them to be challenging. They've got some good players in their side with a massive back four and they'll take some breaching throughout the season. They'll also be effective going forward."
