Bradford boss Phil Parkinson admitted he was happy to settle for a 0-0 draw with Crewe which kept his side in the top six.
The stalemate at Gresty Road was played in difficult conditions, although James Hanson almost nicked a late winner. "The wind and rain made it a real slog, so we will take a point on the day," he said. "We had some good chances but that moment of opportunism around the box to win the game wasn't there. If you can't win then you make sure you don't get beaten and defensively we looked strong. "Crewe have had an indifferent start, but they're a good side. After winning the Johstone's Paints Trophy last season I am sure Steve Davis was looking at challenging for the play-offs. "We couldn't quite expose their frailties but you have to give Crewe credit. "This league is very tight and there so many teams who are on a poor with each other."
