Morrell links up with Shrews

Shrewsbury have appointed former Wrexham boss Andy Morrell as Mike Jackson's assistant until the end of the season.

Morrell makes a swift return to football having left the Dragons by mutual consent at the end of February. Boss Jackson told the club's official website: "We played together at Blackpool where we were promoted in our first season. "I know him well, his character and what sort of person he is. I think he fits in with what we've got here already. "He's been a manager himself and him coming in gives us experience and having been a striker he'll help around the place. "He's the type of person that I think we need with his character."
