Russell Slade admitted his future at Leyton Orient is precarious following his side's draw at Notts County.

The result leaves last year's beaten play-off finalists rooted in the relegation zone with just one win all season. Before kick-off Slade had been warned by new club owner, Francesco Becchetti, he had just one game to turn Orient's fortunes around. And despite Chris Dagnall's 51st-minute penalty salvaging a draw after Zeli Ismail had put the hosts ahead from the spot, Slade is still a man firmly under pressure. "I have been told that the owner is not happy after tonight, he wanted the win," said Slade. "He wants to see me, but I do not know what the outcome of that is. "I do not want to live by ultimatums because that is not the way to run a football club and is not professional. "I cannot control what happens; there are things in life we cannot control. All I can control is the response and I got that tonight. "We were good and I am delighted with the lads. We have got something very special at this football club and no matter who is in charge we cannot let that change. We cannot let that work rate and the ethos we have be lost. "The support of the fans has been fantastic; they were superb tonight and have been superb all week on social media. It is overwhelming and has not gone unnoticed. "I am pleased that Dagnall scored the penalty, he worked very hard all night. I do not know what is going to happen next." Orient started well with Scott Cuthbert heading against the crossbar and David Mooney firing just wide as the visitors came out fighting for their boss. Ismail put Notts ahead after 25 minutes with a penalty after Nathan Clarke had fouled Jake Cassidy. But Orient levelled when Dagnall calmly sent Roy Carroll the wrong way from the spot after Curtis Thompson tripped Mooney in the box. Bradley Pritchard, Mooney and Darius Henderson all failed to hit the target as Orient pushed for the winner in the closing stages. Notts County boss Shaun Derry came out in support of Slade after the final whistle, he said: "If the rumours are true about Russell Slade are true then I am lost for words. "Sacking him would be scandalous. No matter who is in charge Orient will be in the top four. "They had four players who were in last season's team of the year and they brought Darius Henderson on as a sub. That is how good they are and it shows that the game has gone bonkers these days. The sooner people realise that the better. "Russell Slade has been an excellent manager at whatever club he has been at, no matter what the club. "He took Orient to within one kick of the Championship last season, and that is all it was. There was nothing at all between the teams in that match." On his own team, Derry added: "I am pleased with our lads, it was tough tonight and I cannot complain with the performance. "We were put under pressure, but Orient did not carve us open or hurt us too often and that is great credit to the defence. "It is important that we build on this and keep our decent run going."
