AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley says his players have given him major selection headaches after beating Exeter 4-1.

The Dons recorded a fourth in five games with Matt Tubbs scoring his 12th goal of the season and Ardley is convinced the Dons have found their form at just the right time. "I have some selection headaches going into the Liverpool game but we just need to keep this form going now," said Ardley. "The team for that game won't be picked by who played well these past two games, it will be picked on who is best for the jobs I need to give them in a really good game. "I don't see the Liverpool game as the biggest of my career, I see it as an exciting game, as a tactical challenge but I will enjoy it, more so probably than going into these games. "We're in a good place, we know we have blips but I thought the energy and the desire in the second half was brilliant. "I'm not sure it is the performance of the season, I thought we were lucky at half time to be 1-0 up and I have to say I think Exeter are a good side. "First half we struggled a little bit and I had to change the shape at half time and in the second half we had more energy but whenever you win by a high score it is because the opposition are throwing caution to the wind and we were ruthless in our finishing." League Two top scorer Tubbs found the net before a second-half own goal from Christian Ribeiro doubled the home side's lead. Adebayo Azeez added a third with just less than 20 minutes left to play and namesake Adebayo Akinfenwa's eighth goal of the season rounded off a brilliant Dons performance. Liam Sercombe pulled one back for Exeter in the 90th minute but it proved little consolation for Paul Tisdale as his side recorded only their second loss since October 11. Tisdale said: "The result seems to make it tougher, we don't like losing and we certainly don't like losing so comprehensively. "We weren't actually that bad today; we weren't that great either but these things happen over the course of a season. I am certainly not pleased. "I'm not surprised we created one or two good chances and if one of those goes in and the flow of the game then changes. "We went into half time at 1-0 I would have still backed us to win but the game slipped away from us very quickly. "It is hard for me to criticise an individual or certain parts of the game because there wasn't too much wrong but we need to be good enough to ride our luck and still come out on top. "I hope it is an anomaly but we should have taken our chances."
