Lotus were one of three teams to oppose the introduction of this weekend's tyre at the British GP after it was briefly tested in Canada last month. That veto was for competitive reasons but according to Raikkonen, who was fifth fastest in P2: "I don't really expect that there's a change. Maybe when they change the construction for Hungary it might be a different story. Turning to Lotus's prospects for the weekend, he said: "It's more or less the same car that we had last week. The circuit maybe is a bit better; it needs more downforce so maybe that suits us a bit better. "Also the soft tyres. It's been a long time since we ran them last - Shanghai, I think - on a normal circuit and I think they seem to be a bit better for us." Raikkonen added: "If we can put our cars in the top six tomorrow then it's a very good starting place. But we have to see where we end up in the race. We have to work on our cars a bit to get them a bit better. The long runs weren't bad but the car wasn't on the right set-up."
