Already suffering F1 withdrawal symptoms? Fret not. The F1 Show will be coming to your rescue throughout August...
The F1 season may already be in the midst of its month-long summer break but there's no rest for The F1 Show crew. Though F1 the circus will not reconvene for another month, there will be five editions of the F1 Show broadcast throughout the month of August to give fans their (much-needed!) F1 fix. On Friday 3rd's show will be a live edition presented direct from The F1 Show's studio with Ted Kravitz and Georgie Thompson kept company by, among others, Allan McNish. In addition to reviewing Sunday's Hungarian GP, Ted will be giving McLaren's much-improved MP4-27 the Virtual Car treatment to explain why the team have suddenly returned to frontrunner status after enduring such a miserable British GP under a month ago. What's more, with McLaren's pit-stop times tumbling through the season, Ted will also be trying his hand at being the jack-man during a pit-stop and chronicling just how much work a pit-stop crew are able to pack into three seconds. Or, in McLaren's recent case, rather than less three seconds... But the feature we're most looking forward to seeing is Ted challenge Georgie to an engine build at Mercedes. And who better to judge the winner than Nico Rosberg himself? The following Friday, August 10th, meanwhile, we'll be offering something rather different. David Croft, taking time out from commentary duties, will be the host of a one-off special edition in which three members of F1's press corps - The Times' Kevin Eason, Autosport's Jonathan Noble, and The Daily Mirror's Byron Young - discuss the many talking points of the season so far and offer their thoughts on what might await us when it resumes in August. Another one-off special edition of The F1 Show will be going to air on Friday 17th providing a full and in-depth review of the season so far, before Ted and Georgie return to hosting duties on the 24th. But we'll be telling you all about those shows in due course...
