Relive how Justin Thomas hacked his way around TPC Potomac on his way to a quadruple-bogey.

Justin Thomas suffered an early exit from the Quicken Loans National after failing to recover from a horror quadruple-bogey at TPC Potomac.

Thomas posted rounds of 74 and 71 to miss his second cut in as many weeks on the PGA Tour, with one moment standing out from his disappointing week.

The world No 12 reached the turn level-par on the opening day but saw his round quickly unravel after a stray tee shot at the par-five 10th.

Smashing his driver in anger after finding the wetlands, Thomas then hacked his way out of the thick stuff before shanking his approach in to the rough.

Thomas pushed his ball back on to the fairway with his sixth shot but cleared the green with his next, before pitching to four feet with his eighth and rolling in the resulting putt.
