Anna Nordqvist insists Charley Hull’s game is ‘right where it needs to be’ and has kept faith in the Englishwoman by sending her out first for Team Europe in the Sunday singles.
Hull has only returned 0.5 points from the four matches but will lead out Europe for the second successive Solheim Cup, two years on from thrashing Nelly Korda 6&4 at the same stage.
The Solheim Cup veteran partnered Woad to two defeats on Saturday, suffering the joint-biggest foursomes defeat in history with a 6&5 thrashing by Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin before a final-hole loss to Yealimi Noh and Andrea Lee.

Hull and Khang get the singles under way at 11.10am local time (1010 BST), with Nordqvist having full faith in her Solheim Cup veteran to bounce back from a frustrating first two days.
"Charley started us out in Washington (2024 Solheim Cup) and we know all that Charley's been playing great for the last two days," Nordqvist explained. "She really hasn't holed any putts. I watched her match today, this afternoon, for quite a few holes and she's right there where she needs to be.
"It's just that little bit of momentum (she needs), that we all know is so important in the matches. I have full confidence in her going out tomorrow and I don't think she really has anything to prove, because we know all of what a great player she is."

AIG Women's Open runner-up Esther Henseleit goes out second against Alison Lee, who won each of her three matches, as Angel Yin returns after sitting out of Saturday's action to face unbeaten Linn Grant.
World No 1 Nelly Korda plays Mimi Rhodes, who has won both her matches on debut, before Allisen Corpuz takes on Nanna Koerstz Madsen ahead of Andrea Lee playing rookie Nastasia Nadaud.
Noh has impressed this week and will be favourite against debutant Julia Lopez Ramirez, with Auston Kim going up against Woad ahead of Lauren Coughlin playing Ireland's Leona Maguire and Lindy Duncan facing Swedish star Maja Stark.
Carlota Ciganda goes out in the penultimate match, as she did during a dramatic 14-14 tie on home soil in 2023, with the Spaniard going up against Jennifer Kupcho - Team USA's hero in the Saturday fourballs - before Rose Zhang meets Celine Boutier in match 12.
Team USA require six points on the final day to retain the title, two years on from their home win in Virginia, while Team Europe would need a further 6.5 points in the singles for a first outright victory since 2021.
Could weather disrupt Solheim Cup singles?
The weather looks set to be a significant factor in the battle to win the Solheim Cup on Sunday, with heavy rain expected during most of the final-day singles.
The latest forecast - issued by the on-site meteorologist on Saturday afternoon - includes 'rounds of moderate to heavy rain through the morning' before waves of moderate to heavy rain will 'train across the area'.
The rain probability ranges from 70 per cent to 90 per cent from the early hours of morning until mid-afternoon, with around an inch of rain possible between Saturday and Sunday evening.
The final tee singles match begins at 1.22pm (12.22pm BST) and play is scheduled to finish around 5.30pm local time, with the closing ceremony then due to take place around 6.15pm.
