Gary Woodland was not ashamed to remove his trousers at the Honda Classic and play a shot standing in the water

Gary Woodland made a steady start to his final round at the Honda Classic, but found himself showing off more of his body than he’d expected to after a wayward tee shot during the front nine.

The American found himself one over for the round when he made his way to the par-four sixth, where he sprayed his tee shot in to the left rough and precariously close to the hazard.

With Woodland unable to position himself on dry land and having to wade in to the water to play his second shot, the world No 63 elected to remove his shoes, socks and trousers to fire in his approach in his underwear.

After drying himself down and getting his normal attire back on having ended up in a bunker, Woodland pitched from the sand to leave a five-foot putt for an unlikely par.
