Brooke Henderson hit a hole-in-one on her way to taking a two-shot lead in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in Sammamish, Washington State.
The 18-year-old Canadian aced the par-three 13th - her fourth hole of the day - when a seven iron from 155 yards caught the edge of the green and rolled into the cup at Sahalee Country Club.
It was the world No 4's fourth hole in one but first on the LPGA Tour, for which she won a Kia K900, and helped her to a four-under 67.
"Yeah it was a pretty good day today. Yeah, the hole-in-one was awesome," she said.
"I pulled my shot a little bit, caught the left apron and followed right into the hole. It's my fourth one. And ended up being the car hole. And four-under today. So it was a good set."
Christina Kim and In-Kyung Kim carded 69s to share second behind Henderson.
Kim said: "This place has absolutely drained me. I'm very, very thankful that I was able to play early today, to be able to get some rest, to go out there and try and do it again tomorrow. It's a great feeling, but I am exhausted right now."
Norway's Suzann Pettersen leads the European challenge three shots off the pace after a one-under 70, while England's Melissa Reid sits in a tie for 20th following a one-over 72.
Three-time defending champion Inbee Park also shot 72 to sit five strokes back and upon completing her round officially qualified for the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame.
